Villa Valstera, wanted in the 60s by an industrialist as a place of rest and meditation was built by the same owner with the help of the famous architect Giacomo Mantegazza. The property is located in the town of Menaggio and in particular on the eastern shore of Lake Como. The house is characterized by a large garden with several slopes and terraces facing the lake, the view frames a unique natural scenery of the lake, Bellagio, Varenna and Grigne. The construction is obtained from the excavation in the rock, clearly visible in several parts of the luxuriant garden and penetrating even inside the villa. The greenery extends for several hundred metres along the shore of the lake and descends steeply towards the lake. The last garden with the dock, a private marina for the mooring of boats, the swimming pool by the lake and the Valstera stream that delimits the property. Every corner of the house overlooks the lake and remains surrounded by greenery.
