This little Neoclassical jewel, set within Milan’s largest city park, was designed by Canonica as the official gallery for the family of the French emperor. Internally, the hall of honour is embellished by marble and crystal, and host a continuous frieze that evokes the triumphal processions depicted in the bas-reliefs of Imperial Rome, painted in the style of the Neoclassical painter Appiani, from whom the Palazzina takes its name. The venue also has a privileged view of the civic arena and a large outdoor space that can be used for any type of event.
